When clamped firmly to a table, the apparatus demonstrates that gravity has the same effect on a projectile as on a  body falling vertically.  One ball is ejected horizontally while another is dropped at the same instance; both strike the floor at the same time.  The flexible 1 inch wide steel strap is 18 inches long and has a cross bar at one end to hold two 3/4 inch steel balls which are also provided.
